Autumn 2 - Protect our Planet!

This half term we are finding out about our wonderful world and learning some ways in which we can help to take care of it. In our English lessons we are reading some amazing books called 'Clean Up!' by Nathan Bryon and 'One Plastic Bag' by Miranda Paul. We are using this alongside other information to think about and discuss current environmental issues. This will help us create some persuasive writing on the topic.

We are also working hard to develop our descriptive writing and poetry skills. In our Geography lessons we are finding out about continents and oceans as well as developing our understanding of maps. In Art we are finding out about the designer Gary Anderson. Did you know that he created the recycling logo? 

Our RE topic is called 'Good News'. We are learning about why the birth of Jesus is such good news. We will be working hard to learn some brilliant Christmas songs in our music lessons.

Our Christian value is thankfulness. Our PSHE topic is all about recognising our feelings.
