Growing and Changing!

Our Christian Value this half term is forgiveness.
This half term we are reading two wonderful books called 'Jack and the Baked Beanstalk' and 'Jim and the Beanstalk'. We will be using these books to help us write some super stories, letters and poems. In our Science lessons we will be learning about plants and planting our very own beanstalks! Our PE lessons will link to this topic too, in dance we will be thinking about the characters in the traditional tales we know.
In DT we will be finding out about where food comes from and making our very own healthy soup and in PSHRE we will be learning about what helps us to grow and stay healthy.
In our History lessons we are learning about transport and how this is significant in our locality. We will be finding out about Leyland Motors and comparing transport, learning about how it has changed over time.
In RE we are learning about the importance of Easter and the concept of salvation. We will know about some important Easter symbols, the Easter story and the meaning behind it. We will be learning some songs linked to Easter.
